earth day 2011
While our Earth Day education/celebration started with windy gusts and wet skies , it was well attended. Hopefully learning how to recycle, restore, reuse, replenish and reduce our footprint on this earth is going make it so that the children who attended will still be able to enjoy our planet and their children and so on beyond them.
The GreenTeam presenter brought us a message of: "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Don't Litter!" while the Birds of Flight presenter, Heather, brought us a message of taking care of our wild birds, how liter harms them and how using decon for mice control in our homes can reach out to kill up to 15 different critters. Heather brought along a very popular visual message; a screech owl and red-tailed hawk. The greenteam game and craft to teach messages of litter control, reuse of materials and recycle events was information even the adults could take home to implement. We can change the ways of our world to help ensure a better environment, a better world for our children and grandchildren.
What wonderful messages to share with our children and grandchildren as well as parents, grandparents and friends who attended this event.
